Jubilee has postponed primaries in Murang'a county to Wednesday, citing lack of preparedness.

NEB chair Andrew Musangi on Monday said the primaries have been moved due to logistical issues and the party would not want to inconvenience voters.

He added that they are aware of the Malindi High Court's ruling extending nominations to May 1.

More on this:

He said party officials are interrogating the order "to see if it has any impact on the party".

Musangi also said Jubilee has resolved for returning officers to allow all JP voters cast their ballot despite missing names from the register.

He said voters should provide IDs and be included in the party register to vote.

"Most votes whose names are missing either changed polling stations or cannot be verified from IEBC its updated list is not yet out."

There are also fears that the party may be doing an overhaul of the staff in the county as most presiding officers were either reshuffled or fired on Monday mid morning.

This is linked to vested interests by many of the aspirants and their returning officers.

The party called off nominations last week after chaos, violence and lack of enough materials.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, also the party leader, apologised to Kenyans and said the party will be ready to hold the nominations.

The process is being spearheaded by Deputy President William Ruto.

Musangi on Monday said that the party was working to ensure the polls run smoothly.
