Wiper party has asked Cord co-principals Raila Odinga and Moses Wetang'ula to honour an MoU they signed and endorse Kalonzo Musyoka as the presidential candidate in 2017 elections.

Kisumu Wiper party coordinator Duncan Nyumba on Thursday said Raila and Wetang'ula should automatically support Kalonzo's presidential bid.

The co-principals had signed an MoU with Kalonzo in the run-up to the 2013 elections.

"Kalonzo is a renowned and seasoned politician capable of providing servant visionary forward looking leadership this country has been yearning for over the years," Nyumba said.

He said Raila should demonstrate his advocacy for democracy by supporting Kalonzo's bid.

"This will be for the benefit of not only ODM but entire Cord family," Nyumba said.

He said this would be fair to the ongoing political realignments and would give a chance to other young caliber of politicians to show case their potential.
