Nairobi governor Evans Kidero is confident he will be cleared of allegations he bribed Justice Phillip Tunio with Sh202 million.
Kidero said while a "clique of people wanted to haunt him out of office, he had faith in the constitution".
"The allegations are meant to tarnish my name and reputation but I shall not be cowed and will continue serving the electorate," he said on Friday.
The governor promised to avail himself before the probe committee if required to shed light on the issue.
, journalist Geoffrey Kiplagat alleged Tunoi received the money from Kidero to rule in his favour in an election petition filed by Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu.
He was speaking at Sawela Lodge in Naivasha at a meeting to discuss the county’s strategic plan for the next 10 years.
"We are committed to addressing the issue of garbage collection in Nairobi which is a major challenge in the county," he said.
