President William Ruto went down memory lane on Monday as he visited Kamagut Primary School in Turbo.
Ruto has been in Uasin Gishu County since Sunday.
He was accompanied by his wife, First Lady Rachel Ruto, Education PS Belio Kipsang and MPesa Foundation trustee Michael Joseph.
The President entered a classroom and sat on a desk wearing a broad smile on his face, as he appeared to reflect on his days as a student.
Ruto remembered how he was being taught by his teachers, took a piece of chalk and wrote on the blackboard of the nursery classroom.
The President, who was born on December 21, 1966, in Sambut, Kamagut Location attended Kamagut Primary School.
He later transferred to Sambut Primary School and later joined Wareng Secondary School in Eldoret, before proceeding to Kapsabet High in Nandi County for his ‘A’ Levels.
Thereafter, he was admitted to the University of Nairobi to study Botany and Zoology.
In 2008, he graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Plant Ecology and in December 2018 graduated with a PhD in Plant Ecology from the same university.
