AFC Leopards to partner with Bata

FKF Premier League side AFC Leopards are working on a partnership deal with Kenya’s biggest shoe manufacturer Bata Limited, a deal that will be officially launched in June.

Ingwe confirmed the good news in a social media post on Friday evening with pictures of gaffer Patrick Aussems, team officials and players on a visit to the company’s factory.

We visited Kenya’s biggest shoe manufacturer Bata at their Limuru factory earlier today as we work towards a partnership that will officially be launched in June,” the club statement read.

The announcement will see the 12-time Kenya Premier League champions secure their second sponsorship deal building up into next season.

Leopards in July 2022 signed a sponsorship deal with a Kenyan gaming firm Betika worth Ksh.195 million as their shirt sponsors.

The club also confirmed that Bata Limited would launch a Northstar shoes brand customized specifically for AFC Leopards.

The deal comes just two days away from the club's arguably biggest game of the season against arch-rivals Gor Mahia in the much-hyped Mashemeji derby at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.

The match will kick off at 3 pm local time.
