Mburu wins second gold to hand Kenya fifth medal at World Masters show

Kenneth Mburu won his second gold for Kenya at the ongoing World Indoor Masters Athletics championships in Torun, Poland.

Mburu won the 10km road race title after timing 29:25 for his second gold medal and fourth for Team Kenya.

On Monday, Mburu bagged the second gold for Kenya while winning the 8km cross-country title. This was after Erick Shikuku, had won the 3,000m race walk gold, and two-time Africa Masters champion Regina Mulatya bagged a silver medal.

Grace Wanjiru won the 3,000m walk race title on Tuesday evening. In other finals of the day, Mulatya failed to scoop her second medal after failing to hit the podium in the 60m race.

The championships, which started on March 24, will run up to April 1.
