NOC-K, KVF to unveil Malkia Strikers squad on Monday

The Kenya queens are preparing for the World Challenger Cup in France and the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The National Olympic Committee of Kenya NOC-K and the Kenya Volleyball Federation KVF are set to unveil the Malkia Strikers squad on June 19 at the Nyayo Stadium.

The unveiling will serve as a blessing for the Kenya queens as the team prepares for the World Challenger Cup in France and the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The Challenger Cup is set for Laval in late July while the continental assignment in August acts as Africa Olympic qualifiers. 

Visa hitch has delayed the team's travel plans to Morocco for training under the International Volleyball Federation FIVB program.

Meanwhile, Kenya Prisons proved too strong for Kenya Defence Forces team, defeating them 3-1 in the league match at the same venue.

Prisons, the former national champions, bagged the first set 25-19. KDF drew level by winning the second set 26-24.

The wardresses mastered a 25-20 and 25-16 wins in the second and third sets as the Josp Barasa-tutored side cruised to victory.

In another match, newbies Post Bank disarmed Kenya Army  in straight sets. The moneybags  recorded sets of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-23.
