Malkia Strikers opposite attacker Sharon Chepchumba has warned perennial rivals Cameroon ahead of the Africa Nations Volleyball Championships to be staged in August 6-18, Cameroon.

The burly hard-hitting attacker who plies trade with Aris Thessaloniki in Greece, is part of the Kenya team squad that was named on Wednesday, for the Challenger Cup in France and the ANC, as the team hits residential training camp next week.

Chumba, who was named the Most Valuable Player in last year's Africa Club Championships after helping KCB win the prestigious gong, believes she has come off age as a result of the exposure.

"The Chumba they (Cameroon) encountered two years ago is not the same player today. I have grown in leaps and bounds, amassed  a lot of experience and taken my game to another level. I believe by the time the ACN begins, the players ill be in peak condition. Cameroon will face a beast of a player," Chumba bullishly stated.

Malkia beat Cameroon in the Olympic qualifiers in 2020 to book the sole slot reserved for Africa in the quadrennial event.

The former Kwanthanze player said the European league  is competitive, adding that it calls for focus and a tough mentality. "It is a pleasure to play with some experienced players. Some of them have played for 17 years and I can only learn from them."
