Malkia name squad as road to Paris set to begin

Malkia Strikers have named a provisional squad of 20 players for two major upcoming international assignments.

Long-serving Captain Mercy Moim headlines the squad that is expected to start training next week at the Kasarani Indoor Arena under the watchful eyes of coach Paul Bitok.

Malkia will then  head to Morocco on June 10 for one and a half months training under the International Volleyball Federation FIVB program. Brazilian coach Luizomar  De Moura will work in tandem with Bitok while in North Africa.

The Kenya Queens will be expected to be in Laval, France, for the Challenger Cup that serves off on July 25 and ends on July 31.

The National Olympic Committee of Kenya NOC-K will then take charge of the team. The camp will be held at the Miramas.

Malkia, who graced the postponed Tokyo Olympic Games will return home before heading to Cameroon for the Africa Nations Championships slated for August 6-18.
