Hours before their electric performances at the Carnivore grounds during the Sol Fest event, Sauti Sol were crowned 'Best African Group' at the 2021 Afrimma awards.
Their win was announced through the Afrimma official page.

Diamond Platnumz and Nandy won the best male East Africa and best female East Africa awards respectively.
Wizkid grabbed three awards: Artiste of the Year, Song of The Year, and Crossing Boundaries With Music.
Adekunle Gold won Best Male Artiste for West Africa, while the love of his life Simi was awarded as the Best Female Artiste West Africa.
Prime Beatz won Best Music Producer. 'Essence' featuring Wizkid, Tems and Justin Beiber won 'Song of the Year'.
Other regional winners were Mimie and Fally Ipupa (Central Africa) and Focalist (Southern Africa).
