SINGER and model Laika has come out to defend herself over claims that she is a lesbian.

The Main Switch Records-signed artiste and songwriter has denied that she is attracted to women, despite the fact that she organised a controversial house party at her Nairobi's South B crib last weekend. She had made the party's announcement on her twitter page, saying it was strictly a ladies affair.

The post, which read 'Lesbian party at my house tonight!', created a social media buzz, as loads of twitter users asking for more information about the party.

She told Word Is: “After hosting that party, it didn't mean that I am into ladies. Quite to the contrary, I am into men. I have a boyfriend whose identity I won't reveal at this moment, as I would like to keep the matter between us private until the right time.”

Laika, who recently released a new jam titled Turn Me Up under the Main Switch music stable, revealed that she has recently been stalked by females – believed to be lesbians – who have been mistaking that she is one of them. Laika's other songs include

Dokta and Your Love.
