Twitter has rolled out a feature that lets iOS and Android users combine text, photos, videos and GIF’s in a single tweet.

The feature was first experimented by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi in April, and Twitter confirmed its functionality in July this year.

“Adding 'mixed' media to a Tweet is simple and straightforward. When composing a Tweet, tap the “Media” or “GIF” icons and select the content you want to share (and don’t forget to add descriptive text to make your images more accessible). That’s it!,” Twitter said in a statement.

Once you tap the photo icon in the tweet composer, you can add your selected media of your choice.

The content you add will show up side by side or in a grid-like format, depending on the number of images, videos, or GIFs you add.

"Mixing different types of visual content together in a single Tweet allows creators to express themselves beyond 280 characters and gives them more ways to tell their story."
