The Kenya Association of Manufacturers recently held an Energy Management awarding ceremony at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi. Umoja Rubber Products Limited emerged the overall winner of this year’s awards, with Mombasa Cement Athi River Unit as the runners-up.

The event, themed ‘Rewarding excellence in sustainable energy’, awarded over 20 companies that have achieved significant reductions in their energy consumption through the implementation of energy-efficient measures and technologies.

“Scaling up green investments in key sectors would catalyse significant advancement in sustainable development and poverty eradication,” he said.
