The FiRe Gala Awards 2019 took place at Carnivore grounds, Nairobi, on Friday.

The awards seek to promote and recognise excellence in financial reporting, sound corporate governance practices and environmental reporting for both public and private sector entities in Kenya and within the larger East African region.

In attendance were Nyandarua and Makueni governors Francis Kimemia and Kivutha Kibwana, former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua and Treasury PS Julius Muai.
