The Forum for Figo Foundations was officially launched on Friday evening at an elegant dinner held at the Laico Regency, Nairobi.
Moreso, it was the first fundraiser towards raising Sh 30million for their peritoneal dialysis program that seeks to purchase 10 machines. This treatment is recommended for children with kidney failure because it has a lesser toll on the body.
Towards this cause, there was also a fashion show where the designs showcased were auctioned off to the highest bidder. Designer pieces by House of Kaji, Shiyenze, Simone, Nciiri, Binti Afrique, GnM featured.
Present were Kiambu deputy governor Gerald Githinji and health executive Dr Jonah Mwangi, Scohra executive director Sandra Mwarania and Kidney Research Kenya founder Macharia Gakuru.
