The Njama Mzango cultural group from Taita played host to a two day extravaganza that rekindled the old memories of the fast disappearing Taita Culture. The nostalgia filled event attracted revellers from across the county and others from Europe who were enjoying their holiday in the county.
Taita traditional dishes including mngoro, kimanga, kimumunde and kipunde were served. Taita traditional beer made from sugarcane juice Chofi ya maghuwa also known as denge was in plenty. Njama Mzango acrobat group thrilled the ecstatic crowd with their nerve-racking gymnastic moves.
Wundanyi MP Thomas Mwadeghu, Taita Taveta women representative aspirant Joyce Lay, Werugha ward councillor Mary Saleka and Wundanyi ward councillor Ginton Mwachofi were among the guests at the event.
