Popstar turned fashion mogul Rihanna has announced that her brands Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin brands will soon arrive in African countries, including Kenya.

The billionaire businesswoman took to her social media, striking a number of poses in a headwrap, likened to expressing the African culture and shared the good news to her 128 million followers on Instagram.

The brand will be available in selected countries including Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Namibia, Ghana, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

She is set to officially open the first shop on May 27, 2022.

Fenty Beauty became one of the first makeup brands to offer over 40 (now 50) foundation shades.

“Finally, this is good news for some of us who have to import the products. We can finally save some coins,” said Kelvin Maina, a Nairobi based makeup artist.

“I have tried the Fenty foundation, and it turned out good. Am super excited to try the Fenty lipstick and gloss,” Rehema Abdul, 24, told the Star on Wednesday.

Rihanna's Fenty Beauty first came onto the makeup scene when it launched in September 2017, and it has yet to stop creating waves within the beauty industry.

Rihanna has an estimated net worth of $1.7 billion thanks to her 50 per cent stake in cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty.

She is also the first billionaire in her home country of Barbados, which recently honoured her as a “national hero”
