Kenya Kwanza presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday assured Kenyans of victory against Azimio in the August polls.

Gachagua said Mt Kenya had decided that all votes will go to Deputy President William Ruto as he prepares to form the next government.

Speaking at Moi Gardens in Kericho town, Gachagua dismissed Azimio presidential aspirant Raila Amolo Odinga as a spent force that has no chance of winning the presidency after five attempts.

Rigathi also said Raila's running, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, was no match to him and Ruto.

“Soon we will confine her to where she (Karua) belongs. We will fight from all directions and ensure what Kenya thinks about her is just but political imaginations,” he said.

The Mathira MP said they will use a wheelbarrow to send Raila to Bondo after Kenya Kwanza victory.

Gachagua appealed to UDA supporters in Kenya to vote wisely by adopting the six-piece voting pattern in the election.

“Kenya Kwanza can win but without a good number in Parliament it cannot be effective in passing bills that will help Kenyans come out from the current economic crisis,” the lawmaker said.

Some of the leaders who attended the Sunday Kericho prayers rally include Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula, Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony, his Bomet counterpart and Hilary Barchok, among others.

“Mt Kenya, North Eastern, Eastern, Rift Valley, Western and all parts of Kenya have landed on Kenya Kwanza and will only be miracles for the challengers to clinch the countrys leadership” Rigathi told a cheering crowd that turned up for the prayers.

Africa Inland Church leaders from both Kericho and Bomet organised the prayers attended by UDA nominees from the two counties.

AIC deputy presiding Bishop Paul Kirui conducted the Kericho prayers rally.

Wetang'ula said Raila will not solve Kenya's economic problems, joblessness among the youth and huge international debts its currently facing.

“Raila has told Kenyans that he would follow President Uhuru Kenyatta's footsteps. That means he will only come to increase international debts, reduce employment and cripple Kenya's economy,”  the senator said.

Wetang' ula said Western, Rift Valley, Mt Kenya and most regions in Kenya have prepared well to ensure Ruto  wins the August 9 election.

He asked the Independent Electoral and boundaries Commission to put its house in order.

“IEBC chairman Wafula chebukati should be held accountable should he fail to hold credible election devoid of irregularities as witnessed in the previous elections,” he said.
