Agano Party presidential candidate David Waihiga has pledged to reduce PAYE for all employees and the price of unga to below Sh100 if elected.

He said this in a sneak preview of his manifesto on Thursday.

In the last couple of weeks, the cost of a 2kg packet of maize flour has increased to over Sh200.

Waihiga said the party will launch its manifesto on July 4.

“My manifesto will be radical and unique and it shall propose to waive all tax penalties accrued as soon as I'm sworn in to give Kenyans a new start," he said.

Waihiga also pledged to return an estimated Sh20 trillion illegally obtained from Kenya and stashed abroad.

He also said he will stop the loss of public cash, claiming that Sh5 billion, not Sh2 billion, is lost daily.

Waihiga said he will constitute a Truth and Recovery Commission to assist in the recovery of all the funds illegally stashed abroad and corruptly lost and obtained.

He said he will introduce mandatory toxicity and mental aptitude tests for every Kenyan aspiring for office.

Waihiga said his campaign is premised on democratic principles of political tolerance and clean government.

He said he wants to be remembered as the president who slayed corruption, wastage, misadministration, bureaucracy and make Kenya a 1st World country.

Waihiga is one of four presidential candidates cleared by IEBC to run for the seat. Others are Azimio flagbearer Raila Odinga, William Ruto of UDA and George Wajackoyah of Roots Party.
