Kenya School of Government announces plan to establish Vihiga campus

KSG has invited interested bidders to participate in the tender process for the construction

The Kenya School of Government has announced a plan to establish a new campus in Vihiga as it seeks to expand its footprint across the country.

Currently, the institution operates in five branches in Baringo, Embu, Nairobi’s Lower Kabete, Matuga in Kwale, and Mombasa.

In a notice dated March 26, KSG has invited interested bidders to participate in the tender process for the construction of the new campus, with submissions due by April 10.

“Interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the tender documents at our lower Kabete campus procurement office during working hours from 8 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm Monday to Friday or at KSG website www.ksg.ac.ke or Tenders.go.ke portal,” reads the notice.

Bid security for the construction of the new facility is Sh9 million.

“Price quoted must be in Kenya shillings and should be inclusive of all taxes and delivery costs, and shall remain valid for 180 days from the closing date of tender,” it further reads.

It is to be paid in the form of a guarantee from a reputable bank or an insurance company approved by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority.

The security which will remain valid for 120 days is to be paid to the Director General, Kenya School of Government.

Opening of the documents has been set for April 10 at the lower Kabete campus in Nairobi.

“Tenders will be opened immediately after the closing time in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend the opening at the Kenya School of Government Administration Block of the Lower Kabete Campus,” it states.

KSG is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution that provides capacity development programs for the public service through training, research, consultancy, and policy advisory services.

Its role is to provide learning and development programs that will inculcate public service values and ethics in the devolved government for the delivery of results to the Kenyan citizenry.
