A section of Mount Kenya leaders have emphasized that there is no rift between President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua as it has been widely speculated.

Speaking to Star Newspaper, Kipipiri Member of Parliament, Wanjiku Muhia, has said that the duo are fully united in the realization of campaign manifestos as well as uniting Kenyans across all political divides.

She noted that the UDA party and the Kenya Kwanza fraternity are currently focused on supporting the government in the realization and improvement of development agendas.

"I can assure you that, all that you hear about infightings are just creations of the social media by the opposition and the busybodies, Ruto and Gachagua are focused on the implementation of the policies that favour Kenyans in general," she said.

Her remarks follow a section of UDA leaders in Murang’a publicly endorsing Kiharu MP as a suitable running mate for Ruto, sparking speculation about divisions within the party.

Ndindi Nyoro, in turn, has voiced strong support for both Ruto and Gachagua, debunking rumours of internal conflicts.

Muhia attributed such speculation to opposition forces seeking to undermine and destabilize the government, asserting that the Kenya Kwanza leaders are united in their commitment to building a robust economy for the nation.

“There is no discord within the UDA or within our coalition partners; we are fully behind Ruto and Gachagua as we implement the campaign manifestos across the Country,” she affirmed.

Muhia emphasized that UDA leaders are actively engaged in their constituencies, focusing on delivering results for the people.

She urged leaders against getting entangled in succession politics and called for unity to achieve the common goals set forth by the party.

Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga recently echoed similar sentiments, assuring that the Mount Kenya region will remain united in support of President Ruto and his Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

"Mt Kenya people are solidly behind William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua. They value truthful men and will always pay back for any sacrifice they undergo for their benefit. I don't foresee any change in the Presidency. I cannot vouch for their support of any change," Kahiga said.

He emphasized the need to rally behind the current administration for sustainable growth and urged citizens to give the government ample time to fulfil its promises.

Gatanga MP Edward Muriu echoed similar sentiments noting that the Kenya Kwanza government is currently united and won't be swayed away from delivering what they promised Kenyans.

He urged Kenyans to support the government of the day noting that they are currently rectifying the wrongs that were done by the previous administration led by Uhuru Kenyatta.

"We are focused on delivering the campaign manifestos and Kenyans should support the government," Muriu said.

He denied the allegations that the Kenya Kwanza government is divided pointing the finger at the opposition for spreading the rumours.

Kiamwangi MCA Kung'u Smart has also said that Kenyans should give the government ample time to deliver rather than criticise it daily.

He said that the politics of succession should not be a priority urging leaders to spread unity.

"We as leaders should embrace unity and support the government both at the national level and in Counties for the sake of the electorates who elected us into power, " Kung'u said.
