The king was seen interacting with officials who were explaining to him about farming.

As he listened carefully, the king who wore sunglasses nodded keenly as he was seen asking questions to the officials.

As the King moved his sunglasses up and down, he was shown the products of the City Shamba.

But the security was also not left behind as they kept running up and down to keep the King safe even as he was expected to sign an education MoU later on.

The King was seen plucking the vegetables and sorting for any clarifications before he had a chit-chat with the officials at the farm.

He was accompanied by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi during the tour.

The king is then expected to sign an MoU with the Ministry of Education at the Eastlands Library.

The aim of the UK-Kenya Education MoU is to strengthen our long-standing education partnership and set the direction for future collaboration between the UK and Kenya.

"It underpins our joint commitment to tackle some of the most pressing education challenges remaining in the education sector," the British High Commission said.

The MoU is expected to run for five years, starting October 31, 2023, to  October 31, 2028.

The UK and Kenya enjoy a deep and historical education partnership.

This partnership has supported Kenya to improve access to primary education and improve learning outcomes before the pandemic.

Since 2015, the UK-Kenya education partnership has supported more than half a million marginalised girls and disabled children, to access quality education in Kenya.

The King had had earlier planted a tree at State House, Nairobi, together with Queen Consort Camilla, President Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto.

His Majesty was accompanied by Mudavadi, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, and Education PS Belio Kipsang among other leaders.

The British monarch is expected to stay in the country for a four-day State Visit, signifying the close ties between Kenya and Britain.
