Kidnapped Catholic priest Fr Muriuki found in Nakuru

Nakuru's Holy Cross Parish priest, Father Michael Muriuki who was kidnapped on Wednesday has been found in Nakuru.

Muriuki had visited his mother at her home in Mau Narok, Njoro when he vanished.

Reports of the Father's abduction circulated for the better part of Wednesday night in an attempt to find him.

During his search, police reported that the priest's phone signals were drawn within different places around Nakuru town.

On Thursday, reports emerged that Father Muriuki was found near Eveready roundabout, tied with ropes.

He was rushed to Nakuru Referral Hospital for a checkup.

“The vehicle was recovered around 1 am on Thursday before he was found alive,” Momanyi said.
