President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza camp is on Tuesday expected to unveil its five-member delegation to the dialogue team with the opposition.

The Star understands that the President held talks with his deputy Rigathi Gachagua on Monday to agree on the list before it is made public.

The Kenya Kwanza team will then join those picked by Opposition leader Raila Odinga's Azimio camp for expanded bipartisan talks.

Both sides have unveiled parallel issues that could be part of the agenda for the talks with either side insisting that they will not be dictated.

Kenya Kwanza has listed five issues that will be part of the agenda.

They include the re-constitution of the electoral agency IEBC, implementation of the two-thirds gender rule and the entrenchment of the CDF in the Constitution.

Others are entrenching in the law the position of Leader of the Official Opposition and that of Prime Cabinet Secretary.

The opposition has listed the cost of living, audit of 2022 polls, reconstitution of IEBC, inclusivity in national affairs and respect for political parties in line with the Constitution.

However, maintained that lowering the cost of living will never be part of the talks as it is the government mandate.

National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah said on Monday that the government side is still working on the names.

"It is a work in progress, consultations are going on before the names are released," Ichung'wah said.

Given his position Ichung'wah and his minority counterpart Opiyo Wandayi will sit in the 10-member committee to resolve the country's political impasse.

The 10-member team will comprise four members from outside Parliament, two from each side, National Assembly Majority and Minority leaders, and four additional Members of Parliament -two from each side.

Raila on Monday unveiled his coalition's five-member team for talks with the Kenya Kwanza wing.

The Azimio team will be led by Wiper Party leader and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, a co-principal in the opposition outfit.

Also in the Azimio team are former Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi, Malindi MP Amina Mnyazi and Nyamira Senator Okong'o Omogeni.

The plans for the talks follow President Ruto's meeting with Raila last Friday in Mombasa where they agreed to form a 10-member committee to deliberate on their issues.
