Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has pledged to help struggling Musician Stephen Otieno Adera alias Stevo Simple Boy relocate to a new house on Monday.

The MP who met the musician on Saturday said he will also buy house hold items to ensure he starts a new life.

“His frustrations touched my heart. He is genuine and open, I liked his transparency. I will relocate him on Monday to a new house and buy him house items to start a new life,” Salasya said.

The legislator further hit out at a section of musicians whom he said had visited Simple Boy with empty promises, for clout.

“I have advised him to do away with fake managers and be his own manager the way I was everything to myself as the chief campaigner, controller of budget, transport manager. Having the right people around you is very key than having many useless people around,” he added.

Last week, Simple Boy suffered a blow after Men in Business Management terminated his contract.

MIB said they have 35 days of tabling both parties' interests for a smooth transition.

They added that during the termination process, all projects will be paused and a lawful process of events will be followed.

Stevo's wife Grace had recently pleaded for financial help saying the much-loved artist has been struggling to make ends meet.

"A lot of people assume that Stevo is the one who operates his Tiktok and Instagram pages but he is not. Many complain about wanting to help him but he is unreachable," she said in an interview.
