It has been a bee hive of activities as usual for President William Ruto’s Cabinet this week.

From uttering unprintable words to cracking a whip at the National Health Insurance Fund, this is what transpired throughout the week.

Labour CS Florence found herself in a tussle with Gatanga MP Edward Muriu over the occupancy of a house in Karen.

Bore admitted to being at the centre of controversy in the purchase of a house in Karen and sought to put speculation to rest amid sensational media reports on the matter.

In what she termed as dramatised and sensational allegations, Bore disputed the owner's account that she entered into the multimillion house without making any commitment to purchase.

Bore was allegedly given a 24-hour notice to vacate the controversial Karen home.

On Thursday, she confirmed having moved out of the house at night.

She noted that after receiving the deposit refund, she looked for another house and in an hour, she had a new home.

Trade CS Moses Kuria too was the topic of discussion this week.

The CS has been on the lips of Kenyans, including the President himself and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua after his twitter wars with the media attracted backlash.

Kuria's utterances in an apparent attack against Nation Media Group began following an expose by NTV, a station under the group, where it alleged that Cabinet Secretaries engineered the drop in the price of edible oils, a move that made the taxpayer lose about Sh5.6 billion.

He also threatened that the media organization will not get advertisements from the government.

A word used by the CS on his Twitter account trended in the Kenyan social media spheres for hours.

In a counterattack, Kenya Editors Guild and Kenya Union of Journalists condemned the utterances, with KUJ Secretary General Erick Oduor saying the CS has become a symbol of national shame.

However, Kuria has insisted that he won't apologise for his recent slur on the media.

"I am not apologising. My friend, I have been a media owner before. I have been a writer in your newspapers and all that before," Kuria said.

However, the High Court issued orders stopping Kuria from uttering or expressing any insulting and demeaning words against any Media Practitioner.

She further announced that all staff at NHIF will have to undergo a lifestyle audit as the Ministry of Health seeks to combat the problem of fraud.

The exercise that will be conducted by EACC, requires the staff to explain their sources of wealth, which will be expected to be commensurate with their pay.
