National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula has urged the Azimio la Umoja coalition to embrace peaceful mechanisms in articulating their concerns.

The Speaker said the Raila Odinga-led team will not gain anything by threatening to resume demonstrations in a bid to push the government to address their grievances.

"If Raila and his team have the interest of the country at heart, he should always ensure that peace prevails even in circumstances where he criticises the government as an Opposition leader," he said.

Wetang'ula added that Kenya needs peace to develop and in tern attract foreign investors.

He said those planning to destabilise the country's tranquility should know that Kenya does not have a spare country.

"There is no country which can prosper economically when there is no stability while urging Kenyans to continue praying for the nation as well as the Kenya Kwanza administration," he said.

"Let us continue working together, loving each other so that our country can be peaceful. We do not have any other country."

Wetang'ula spoke when he joined the family, friends and relatives in bidding farewell to the late retired chief Mzee Julius Macheso Masibo in Milo village, Sitikho Ward in Webuye West Constituency.
