Opposition Leader Raila Odinga has said the Kenya Kwanza government wants to weaken the Jubilee party because it is a force.

Speaking during the Jubilee National Delegation Conference, Raila said President William Ruto's administration has seen great potential in the party, hence taking members.

"They have now seen that Jubilee party will soon become a force and have started weakening it by buying members, they want Jubilee party dead," he said.

"I must commend Jubilee party for remaining strong. Failure is not an option."

Raila added that the people who want to kill Jubilee and add it to Kenya Kwanza will soon realise when it's late that they are being used.

"Those politicians who now want to hand over Jubilee to Kenya Kwanza may not be fully aware of the complex scheme being plotted by their sponsors, it will eventually consume them," he added

The ODM leaders added that the Kenya Kwanza government is too shady to be embraced, saying that's the main reason his team has agreed to dialogue to secure a good deal.

"The primitive voice in Kenya Kwanza should stop losing sleep for an imaginary handshake, it is too shady to be embraced, that's why we have agreed to talk to them," Raila said.

Raila also accused President Ruto's government of scheming to remove the presidential term limit.

He said that the Kenya Kwanza regime is determined to cobble a big political alliance that will give it parliamentary strength to amend the constitution.

The current constitution provides that a president shall serve for a maximum of two five-year terms.

''The end game by Kenya Kwanza in its schemes against Jubilee is to give itself a super-majority in Parliament that will enable them to amend the constitution towards desired goals including the possible removal of term limits," Raila told the Jubilee delegates.
