Female staffer stabbed to death at fast food joint in Kitengela

A female employee at the fast food restaurant Chicken Inn, Kitengela died after she was stabbed by her male colleague.

Police and witnesses said the incident happened on Friday night at the busy Chicken Inn next to a petrol station.

According to witnesses, the man who was not on duty stormed the restaurant on Friday night at around 8:30 pm and stabbed the woman multiple times with a knife.

Other witnesses said they heard screams and commotion inside the restaurant and on checking they saw a man with a knife attacking the woman.

Police said they had not established the motive but suspected love triangle as the reason.

“The assailant has been off duty but he showed up and attacked the woman and the colleagues claim the two were lovers,” said a police officer at the scene.

The suspect, who sustained major injuries from the mob justice, was rescued by police who rushed him to Kitengela Sub County hospital.

Some witnesses also claimed that the man attacked the woman after finding out that she was cheating on him.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending investigation as the scene was closed for cleaning.

Meanwhile, suspected thief escaped death narrowly after he was subjected to mob injustice in Athi River.
