Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka have sent apologies for missing out on the Murang'a town hall meeting.

This is not the first time Uhuru is missing an Azimio event.

On April 6, Uhuru also sent an apology for missing the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition Parliamentary Group meeting that was held at the Stoni Athi in Machakos County.

Raila registered Uhuru's apology to the delegation who were eagerly waiting.

“I bring apologies from our chairman Uhuru Kenyatta, he wanted to come but he was unable, but he said he will support whatever resolution we will make today,” Raila said.

The latest apology also comes after TIFA poll released a survey in which the majority of Kenyans said that Uhuru should avoid politics and enjoy his retirement.

59 percent of those who participated in the interviews believe he should retire, and keep off politics.  They believe Uhuru should remain active in his family businesses if he wants.

"70 per cent of Kenya Kwanza supporters want Uhuru to retire from politics, compared to 26 per cent of the supporters," the survey stated.
