Gachagua heads to Botswana for diaspora engagements

This will be the DP's second foreign trip after he was sworn into office in September 2022

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua will this weekend head to Botswana for Diaspora engagements. 

Principal Secretary of State Department for Diaspora Affairs Roseline Njogu has said the DP will be meeting Kenyans living in the country on Saturday. 

"Kenyans in Botswana! DP Rigathi Gachagua is coming to meet you this Saturday! Looking forward to seeing you all!" she tweeted 

The event will be held at the Avani Gaborone Resort starting 5 pm, where the DP will be the Chief Guest. 

This will be Gachagua's second foreign trip after he was sworn in as the Deputy President in September 2022. 

In October 2022, he left the country for his first foreign trip to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Youth Connect Africa Summit.

He was accompanied by a host of legislators including Bomet Woman representative Linet Chepkorir alias Toto.

Kiambu senator Karungo Wathang'wa was also part of the delegation.
