Comedian Eric Omondi on Sunday moved to extend a hand of kindness to Kenyans in need.

Omondi paid hospital bills to a few mothers who had been stuck at Pumwani Hospital in Nairobi.

The mothers were being held after they were unable to pay their hospital bills.

He asked President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to take time and visit Kenyans who were having a difficult time financially.

"Please, Gachagua and Ruto, visit Pumwani before you pay people who are billionaires like Evans Kidero, come visit these women. You said it yourself Mr President that this government belongs to boda-bodas, that it belongs to mama mbogas,"  Omondi said.

He said despite the President's assurance that the government belongs to the bodabodas and mama mbogas, many are still suffering.

"Mama mboga is suffering, bodaboda are being arrested, jailed and fined Sh25,000," he said.

Omondi urged the government to consider those being held at the hospital with petty fines.

That money should not only go to people who are able but it should be used to help the needy in society.

"Before you pay 50 CASs before you buy cars for the executive, please, visit Pumwani Hospital. There are people here who have given birth to Kenyans they are being held in here because of very petty fines, Sh 2000, Sh 1000," Omondi urged.
