Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga has claimed that the multiparty democracy is under attack.

Raila who was addressing Azimio public baraza in Nairobi on Thursday said the Kenyan constitution is also under attack.

"As we meet today, both the multiparty democracy and the constitution we fought for are under attack," he said.

"Our electoral system is under attack  and all the work that we have done  in creating the IEBC and introducing the use of technology into our elections are clearly going to waste."

Raila claimed that despite the constitution calling for inclusivity in public affairs and the professional civil service, it is being dismantled through tribal appointments and firing.

"It seems to be the fate of this country that each time we are on the ascendancy, something happens to pull us back and it always begins with elections," he said.

Raila has been claiming that the August 9, the presidential poll was rigged in favour of  President William Ruto.

It is on that basis that the opening of the IEBC server became part of the four-point agenda the Azimio team wants the bi-partisan talks to address.

Ruto and his team, however, have opposed such talks saying the on August 9, the presidential election is now a thing of the past and any issue of concern was addressed by the Supreme Court.

The hardline stance has seen the Azimio team call for the resumption of demos in a fresh push-up for their four point-agenda.
