Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has said that the Kenya Kwanza government has no good intentions to negotiate with the opposition.

Speaking on Thursday, Babu Owino said President William Ruto needs Azimio leader Raila Odinga more to lead the country.

"As we speak, Ruto needs Raila more than Raila needs Ruto for him to run the country and if we proceed with demonstrations which we will if these negotiations fail," he said.

"We can see the Kenya Kwanza government has no good intentions to negotiate with us. We will not beg them, we have never begged them and we will proceed because we have a solution, if diplomacy fails we will apply peaceful force, that is peaceful demonstrations."

This comes after Azimio accused the Kenya Kwanza government of sabotage, ahead of the bipartisan talks.

On Tuesday, Ruto revealed the names of the selected members of Kenya who will engage Azimio on a bipartisan approach.

However, Azimio argued that members were selected to sabotage the peace talks.

Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi said the Kenya Kwanza coalition was already kicking off the bipartisan talk on a wrong footing that would eventually lead to a stalemate.

"We are totally surprised and stunned by the fact that they have appointed Hon Adan Keynan who is a member of the Azimio la Umoja Coalition," he said.

Kenya Kwanza announced a  seven-member team that includes Boni Khalwale (Kakamega Senator), George Murugara (MP Tharaka), Esther Okenyuri (Nominated Senator), Mwangi Mutuse (MP Kibwezi West), Lydia Haika (Women Rep Taita Taveta), Hillary Sigei (Senator Bomet) and Adan Keynan (MP Eldas).
