Two men were arrested after a woman claimed she had been pushed off the second floor of an apartment in Kasarani area, Nairobi.

Cynthia Mboya, 26, fell to the ground floor of Q Apartment after a scuffle on Sunday night that involved her boyfriend and his friend.

She told police she had shown up at the apartment to visit her boyfriend who was then with a male friend.

In the process, she said, they went to the balcony of the apartment where a scuffle broke out.

She told police the two pushed her off the balcony and she fell on the ground floor injuring herself in the 10 pm incident.

Neighbours who heard the commotion rushed her to the Uhai Neema Hospital where she was admitted in stable condition.

Police later visited the scene and arrested the two men for grilling.

Police suspect the drama is linked a love triangle but are still investigating the saga.

The officers handling the matter said they are waiting for the woman to stabilize before talking to her for further action.

The police say they are investigating a case of attempted murder.

Among the victims was Brenda Kawira, 29, who died on February 21, 2023, in Nairobi’s Kasarani estate at around 11:30 pm, after jumping 50 feet down.

Police say the only witness in the suicide claim was her boyfriend and who confessed that they had quarrelled on their way to the bedroom.

He told police Kawira, in a fit of rage, stormed out of the bedroom situated on the fourth floor of the rental apartment, went to the balcony and executed the jump of death.

The other cases include Geoffrey Mwathi (February 23) and Joseph Kubende (March 23). 

Police say all the cases are under probe.
