He is among the first members of the Azimio team to comment on the recent development to suspend protests.

"This talks must not fail, my supporters and I are more than ready for round two," Owino tweeted.

On Sunday, Ruto proposed for bi-partisan parliamentary process on the IEBC commissioners’ recruitment.

The President also said he was ready to engage any leader.

The truce saw Raila suspend mass action but gave his demands, which he said if are not met, they will be back to the streets.

However Owino said in case the talks fail and protests resume, there is a protection solution for protesters.

"We have a permanent solution for teargas for all our supporters, containers already arrived and are kept safe. Meanwhile, training continues," Owino said.

He posted a photo of himself wearing what is termed a teargas protection gadget.

The item has black and silver patches with a special material inside it which protects the wearer from inhaling teargas.
