Man who drowned in Juja with lover told wife he was in business meeting

The bodies of the two are being preserved at the City Mortuary.

A man who drowned with a female lover in a dam at Toll area within Juja, Kiambu county was married to another woman.

According to reliable reports, the wife of the man said her husband left home for work, called at around 7 pm on Monday and said he was attending a meeting. 

 

"He called me at around 7 pm and said he was in a business meeting in Juja," she told Citizen Digital. 

The lovebirds were making merry inside the man's car which they had parked near the dam before the incident occurred on Tuesday evening.

Revellers have been thronging the area for "park and chill" activities while indulging in merry-making.

According to witnesses, an argument broke out between the two and the man ignited the car and reversed into the dam.

The body of the middle-aged woman was retrieved on Tuesday evening, while that of the man was found on Wednesday.

The bodies of the two are being preserved at the City Mortuary.
