Health CS Susan Wafula has called on doctors to reconsider their stance and give dialogue a chance.

The CS on Thursday acknowledged that there exist challenges in the health sector and urged the unions to embrace positive dialogue.

"I implore doctors and indeed the entire health workforce to the empathetic during this festive season as we engage KMPDU on the strike notice issued by the union," Wafula said.

"My office has already initiated conversations around the issues raised by KMPDU and I am persuaded that we will find a common ground as patriots serving one nation."
