University Education and Research PS nominee Beatrice Inyangala says she got her doctorate at the age of 33.

Inyangala who was also Kakamega governor candidate Cleophas Malala's running mate said despite situational challenges, she managed to attain the honorary degree.

"I was in a foreign country, speaking a foreign language and raising two kids who were twins," Inyangala said.

The PS nominee urged women not to allow anything hinder their personal growth.

"As women we should not be limited in any way, we should stand up firm and achieve what we want," she said.

Inyangala has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Geography and Masters in Planning and Economics for Education.

She has served in several universities including Moi University, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology and Mombasa Technical Training Institute.

Inyangala also served at the Commission for University Education as planning officer in charge of research.

She also participated in developing a medium plan for education and planning policy for accelerated university intake when President William Ruto was the Education CS.
