Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa's murder case has been transferred to Bungoma high court.

Kakamega high court has directed the file to be placed before Bungoma high court presiding judge.

The court said since the incident took place in Bungoma, it was only proper for the case to proceed there and not in Kakamega where he was charged.

There was no objection to the transfer of the file by all parties.

The investigating officer has also been directed to furnish the victims' lawyers with all witness statements and other documentary evidence.
