Ruto trounces Raila in Mara constituency

UDA presidential candidate William Ruto has won Mara constituency votes.

Ruto had 45,182 votes while Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga was second with 4,902 votes.

George Wajackoyah of Roots party was third with 275 votes while Agano party presidential candidate David Mwaure managed 134 votes.

Mara constituency had 73,248 registered voters. 50,493 valid votes were cast while 290 were rejected.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission expects to receive 290 forms 34B, including the diaspora results for verification.

The electoral agency has so far verified forms from 37 constituencies.
