Tension in Kapenguria over unsealed ballot boxes

A push and pull erupted at Nasokol tallying centre in West Pokot county after a vehicle arrived with unsealed ballot boxes.

Kapenguria member of parliament  Samuel Chumel Moroto raised concern after the papers were brought without security officers' escort on Wednesday for tallying.

"Who are you and why did you bring unsealed papers without a police officer?" Moroto questioned.

He added that the ballot boxes were from Serewo polling station in Kapenguria constituency West Pokot county.
