Kajiado, Uasin Gishu set for planned power cuts Sunday – KPLC

Ngong and Kibiko to be affected in Kajiado as well as Kapsoya in Uasin Gishu.

A section of residents in Kajiado and Uasin Gishu counties are this Sunday go without electricity for up to eight hours as Kenya Power engineers perform system maintenance works.

In a public notice issued Saturday night, Kenya Power said the planned interruptions will affect customers around Ngong, Kibiko and Ngong Vet in Kajiado County.

The outage, the utility firm said, will be effected from 9am to 5pm in Kajiado county.

Areas and establishments to be affected include Oloolaiser High School, the whole of Kibiko, Kimuka, Oloshoibor, Saikeri, Ngong Town, Ngong Hills Milimani, KenGen and Civil Aviation.

Other areas to be affected include Zambia, Scheme 305, Elpaso, Olepolos, Juanco Vetfarm, Kangawa, whole of Kerarapon, Bulbul Bondeni, Masai Road, Dedan Rhino Lekkurukki and Summer Drive.

Residents and businesses in Kahara Centre, Muthaiga, Olkeri, Ololua SGR, parts of Gataka, Ololua DC, Imani and adjacent customers will also be affected.

In Uasin Gishu county, areas that lie along Kapsoya Centre will go without power from 9.30am to 5pm.

Kapsoya centre, Kapsoya Mariakani, Kapsoya Secondary school and the adjacent areas will be affected by the scheduled power interruption.
