[PHOTOS] DP Gachagua takes early morning walk at Hombe Forest

The DP has asked Kenyans to plant more trees to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua this morning took an early morning walk at Hombe Forest in his hometown, Mathira Constituency in Nyeri County.

Taking to his X account, the DP shared photos of the scenic views he came across during the walk.

"My early morning walk today through the thick and serene Hombe Forest was a highly inspirational and reflective way of starting the day, as we rebuild our Nation," Gachagua wrote.

The deputy president also called on Kenyans to expedite the planting of 15 billion trees by 2032 as directed by the president.

He says this will not only mitigate the impacts of climate change but also provide more scenic and serene views.
