State makes major reshuffle affecting over 50 clerks, drivers

The support staff are expected to report to their new station not later than January 30, 2024.

The government has made a major reshuffle of support staff within different ministries.

In a letter seen by the Star, the Ministry of Public Service said that an earlier request had been for the 'reshuffle'.

"Following requests for staff in the above cadres by Ministries and state departments, it has been agreed that clerical officers, drivers and support staff be deployed as follows," reads the letter by Public Service PS Amos Gathecha.

Some of the affected State Departments include Immigration and Citizen Services, Basic Education, Petroleum, Internal security among others.

The letter was sent to the principal secretaries of various departments and also the Solicitor General Shadrack Mose and Huduma Kenya secretariate Mugambi Njeru.

The support staff are expected to report to their new station with immediate effect but not later than January 30, 2024.
