Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has challenged leaders to emulate positive leadership credentials that were exhibited by the Kenya's first Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.

Kuria remembered Jaramogi as an astute political leader who engineered political transformation in the country.

Speaking in Kisumu at the Ofafa Memorial Hall during Jaramogi's 30th anniversary, Kuria described Jaramogi as a legendary politician who inspired and mentored many leaders.

He gave as an example how the Odinga patriarch mentored him politically and assisted him during his troubles while at the University of Nairobi.

The CS added that Jaramogi was a leader who embraced reconciliation and chose to settle political differences amicably.

"These are qualities which should be emulated by the current political leaders," he said.

The ceremony was attended by a host of leaders including governors, senators, MPs MCAs, academicians among other dignitaries.
