ODM mourns Wundanyi branch chairman Mchana

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party is mourning the death of its Wundanyi branch chairperson Christopher Mchana.

He died on January 8.

In a statement on Friday, the party prayed for God's comfort to Mchana's family and friends.

Mchana will be laid to rest on January 20, at Moroko village in Wundanyi subcounty.

"We mourn the passing on of our Wundanyi branch, Hon.Christopher Mchana, on Monday 8th. Burial will take place on Saturday 20th January 2024 at Moroko village, Mghange Mwanda ward, Wundanyi subcounty. We pray to God to grant the family strength during this trying time of grief," ODM said on X.

His death comes about three weeks after the death of Migori County chairperson Phillip Makabong'o.

Makobong'o who passed away on Christmas Eve will be laid to rest on Friday, at his home in Rongo.

"Our Migori County Chairman Eng. Philip Makabong’o who passed on three weeks ago will be laid to rest today at his home in Rongo. The funeral service is currently going on at the Rongo University grounds," the party said on X.

ODM leader Raila Odinga is expected to attend the funeral.
