Kenyans on social media platform X on Monday reacted indifferently to US Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman's announcement of her working tour to Mombasa.

"Nipo site County 001. Had to make a stop on my working tour to see the iconic elephant tusks in Mombasa," she said on her X handle.

But a section of Kenyans who reacted to the message pointed out that the envoy whilst posing for a photo at the iconic replica of elephant tusks inconvenienced motorists by stalling traffic flow to capture the rare moment.

"Why block the traffic though? That’s not fair for the normal Kenyan going around for his business. For how long did you stop there for a picture? @Rosqow asked.

"What an inconvenience to the traffic motorists just for you to take a picture," added @JosephNjoroz.

Former US President Barack Obama's elder brother Malik Obama, however, termed Meg the "Best Ambassador ever".

However, others threw shade at the quality of the photo which appeared to have been taken against the sun's rays thus comprising its quality.

"You don’t have the best photographer, but this is great, Meg. Enjoy," said @GatimuMuchai.

"Kwani ulitumia pinhole camera….DM for good camera prices," added @KelvinKangethe.

"Looks like a photo from 1988," said @MihrThakar

"This photo looks like it was taken in 1984. Aren't there better camera's," added @ShiangalaMike.
