Two Choppers will be used to airlift the examination materials to the inaccessible schools in Turkana, the government has said.

Turkana County Commissioner Jacob Ouma has said the choppers are on standby to ferry examination materials to areas affected by insecurity and bad roads.

He said Turkana is currently experiencing rains that may halt transport due to bad roads and insecurity.

Ouma said ferrying examination materials with choppers will save time for the candidates to finish exams on time.

"We have two helicopters to ferry examination materials to inaccessible schools, like Kapedo in Turkana East which has been faced with insecurity," he said.

"We have beefed up security by deploying security officers to ensure the candidates sit for their exams without any problem."

Lubanga said 6,791 KPSEA and KCPE 9,010 refugee candidates are sitting for their exams in the Kakuma refugee camp.
