Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has responded to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua after he chided him on a State House visit.

Gachagua on September 8, questioned Kalonzo's move to go to State House at night.

Kalonzo had joined delegates and heads of state for dinner State House.

Kalonzo jokingly responded questioning the DP whether he wanted him to attend the dinner at lunchtime.

"On a light note honourable Gachagua, when I went to attend the dinner in commemoration of visiting heads of State to discuss climate change issues in Kenya," Kalonzo said.

"I went for dinner because I received an official invitation. That was dinner for African Heads of State and that issue was beyond Kenya. Maybe you said because I went at night, you expected me to go for dinner at lunch?"

Gachagua was referring to Kalonzo's presence at State House and why he was not chased from Azimio like the rebel MPs.

"The other day we were in a meeting at night and Kalonzo came, he came in the dark why not during the day? Why was he not chased from Azimio," Gachagua said.

Kalonzo was among the guests who attended the dinner hosted by President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto.

He was seen having a chat with Lands Cabinet Secretary Zachariah Mwangi and his Trasport counterpart Kipchumba Murkomen.

That was the first time Kalonzo had visited State House since Ruto took office in September 2022.
